A community engagement event and feeding program were arranged by the City of Malabon University NSTP – CWTS 2 students and led by their instructor Ms. Marynel Fuentes, last March 17, 2024, at Santiago Syjuco Memorial School Covered Court in Barangay Ibaba, Malabon City. The aim of the assembly was to provide nourishment for the kids in the neighborhood while encouraging fun and unity activities.
There are five booths with a variety of kid-friendly games, the first one is Face Paint, Spin The Wheel, Photo booth, Piko, and Hand Feet Hopscotch activities have been set up in furtherance of the feeding program. The events have been developed to encourage social interaction, creativity, and cooperation while also providing the kids with entertainment.
As part of the event, a Gift Giving session was held to distribute presents to the children who attended, spreading happiness and goodwill within the community.
The ceremony was made even more memorable by the presence of Hon. Jeannie Sandoval, the beloved mayor of Malabon City, who marked the occasion by connecting with the kids and participating fully in the event. Mayor Sandoval showed her support for the neighborhood program.
The event brought together some members of the community, university students, and local authorities in a collaborative effort to foster a sense of unity and support within Barangay Ibaba. Through the Feeding Program, Gift Giving, and interactive games/activities. The event successfully fulfilled its goal to create lasting memories for children and promote the spirit of volunteerism and community service among all participants.
