In a resounding display of community solidarity and environmental stewardship, the City of Malabon University (CMU) enthusiastically participated in the Dampalit Mega Dike Clean-Up Drive. This initiative is part of the Malabon City Government’s environmental program, Kalinga at Inisyatiba Para sa Malinis na Bayan (KALINISAN) Sa Bagong Pilipinas Clean-Up Activity.
Led by CMU President Dr. Glen DV. De Leon, alongside select University Officials, Faculty, and Personnel, the event witnessed active engagement from 520 CWTS Students, 309 CMU ROTC Officers and Cadets, 5 CWTS Instructors, 1 NSTP Director and 7 ROTC Training Staff. Their collective efforts contributed significantly to the success of the clean-up drive.
The presence of esteemed guests such as DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos, Usec. Felicito Valmocina, DILG NCR Regional Director Maria Lourdes L. Agustin, CESO III, and Mayor Jeannie Sandoval underscored the importance of collaborative action in addressing environmental challenges.
The Dampalit Mega Dike Clean-Up Drive stands as a testament to the power of collective action in building cleaner, healthier communities. CMU and the Malabon City Government remain steadfast in their resolve to champion environmental conservation and create a brighter, more sustainable future for all.
