Dr. Glen DV De Leon, the President of the City of Malabon University, recently engaged in a meeting with representatives from Charity First, a non-governmental organization committed to providing scholarships for financially underprivileged yet academically deserving college students. In the course of the discussion, Mr. Gregorio Uy, the foundation’s president, underscored the significance of instilling discipline as a fundamental value among the scholars.
He further highlighted that the foundation’s Education Program serves as its cornerstone, aiming to educate, train, and develop youth through a comprehensive approach that includes financial assistance for college education as well as seminars and activities fostering the enhancement of values and skills beneficial to both oneself and others.
The meeting ends with the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between CMU and Charity First. In attendance at the meeting together with the members of the Board of Trustees of Charity First were the CMU officials, Dr. Ma. Salome B. Aguinaldo, Vice President for Institutional Development and External Affairs; Dr. Porfirio Catolico Jr., Vice President for Administration and Finance; University Secretary Dr. Allie Agustin; and Dr. Marissa C. Florentino, Head of Business Development and Linkage Partnership.
Scholarship applications will start this March and will be coordinated with CMUโ€™s Scholarship Program Committee.
