Food for the Hungry (FH)-Malabon Chapter outlined its primary objective to enhance literacy in the city of Malabon. FH Technical Specialist for Education, Prudencia Sanoy, elucidated on the organization’s commitment during discussions with University President Dr. Glen DV. De Leon.
Beyond literacy, FH engages in community-based initiatives, disaster response, and long-term projects, striving to empower individuals and communities to overcome poverty and achieve self-sufficiency. As a non-profit international relief and development organization, Food for the Hungry focuses on addressing poverty and providing assistance to communities in need. This strategic partnership reflects the local government’s dedication to comprehensive social services, aiming for holistic and complete support for the people of Malabon.
The meeting concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between Ms. Prudencia Sanoy and FH staff, Dr. Glen DV. De Leon, the University President, Dr. Ma. Salome B. Aguinaldo, Vice President for Institutional Development and External Affairs and other CMU officials. This collaboration marks a significant step towards realizing the shared vision of fostering literacy and addressing social challenges in Malabon.
